Thank you....

It is an honor to be read with so much attention, by "friends" and "foes" alike.  The large majority of moments in a writer's life, they have little impact and are of little importance given the few eyeballs upon one's writings.  After all, every author always writes for a reader that only exists in his own imagination, in spite of the fact that one might actually arise at one point or another.   Before certain readers get too serious, finding one or other flaw in these words, I would like to take a brief moment to explain how I perceive these "editorials".   Life, as any moment of serious reflection will show, is complicated.  The number of perspectives and realities one can distinguish so many, that it is a miracle that we are able to maintain our mental sanity, at one moment or another.  The manner in which I view these brief jottings, and perhaps the manner in which its readers should view them as well, is that akin to sketches of an artist: inspirational moments in which one explores a suggestive idea or theme.   In spite of its tone of 'gravitas', it is generally not pretended that they be finished works, but merely stylistic brushstrokes that seek to illuminate or explore one element or other.  As the artist who sees a beautiful sunset or is inspired by the forest that surrounds him, these editorials are equally inspired by ideas that seem to capture one or other aspect of our lives, and as a result their brief exploration.   As with any painting, should one or other brushstroke not conform with reality, it will not necessarily invalidate the totality of its vision.  Reality, after all, is always much more complicated than what we may imagine.  Thank you for your continued readership.
