Vulnerabilities in multimedia programs identified
A serious vulnerability was identified in the Apple program Quicktime during the holidays, for both Macintosh OSX users and Windows users. Worse, yet, hackers are now moving away from vulnerabilities in the Windows operating system to vulnerabilities in media files such as .mov, .mp4, .mp3, .gif, .tif, etc. ICTAL.ORG highly recommends its viewers upgrade to the latest Quicktime program, version 7.0.4. It also highly recommneds that any multimedia program used be upgraded during the upcoming weeks and months.
